Panther Programming Training Videos
« on: January 06, 2014, »
Before I did this I thought I would see what you guys thought. I'm thinking of putting some videos together that show how you could create your own firmware together and run it on the Panther. Heres what I was thinking.

1 introduction.
2 turning the leds on the panther on and off.
3 reading and writing to the sdcard.
4 sending a Pixelnet signal out.
5 adding a blue tooth module to trigger a sequence from an android device.

Maybe a few additional.

What are your thought. Is this something that is too technical for this forum.

The forum is for less techincal issues. I would rather you did not on DLA.

Scott,

if you posted a link to your youtube/vimeo account, I'm sure the interested parties -- ME INCLUDED -- could follow along there.

Thanks for the extra effort!

I agree with Steve.  RJ does not want heavy technical stuff on his forum and we have to respect that but there are many of us that would love to learn how to do things like this so if you provide a link, I know that I would be there.

I understand RJ not wanting to get in deep with the tech end of hardware so cluttering up this form may not be the place for it - but would like to have the link for the info you proposed - don't think that would be bad to have posted on DLA and then anyone wanting to follow could use at there own risk/knowlage level. Sometimes just the basics are not enough and I do like to have a firm grip on the system I am using. That is just my thought .....

Interesting vid, thanks for doing that.  One thing that I would suggest if possible is taking some video clips of the Panther itself executing what you have programmed it to do.  I know that watching it flash its LED's is not really an OMG moment, but is is cool to see the device doing what you programed it to do, especially when you get into more complex control output.

Scott,  I really like the training videos.  I am a beginner with Arduino.  It  helped me to understand some of the terminology.  Class, Method...  I dont have a youtube account so i couldnt 'Like" it.  I will keep an eye out for more.
