Title: Combining Elements
Post by: dgreen on October 23, 2013,
Hey all,
I was wondering if there is a way to combine several elements in Nutcracker so I can treat them as one element.
I have several eves on my house and i want to do effects across the house.
Thanks for any help.

until single strand effects gets finished, just use a single line. if you have 4 strings of lights 50 each, enter them as 4 strings of 50.

now chases will go across your entire roofline (chases are spirals for now)

you wont be able to make each segment of your roofline a different color, the whole roofline will be the model. twinkle, colorwash spiral, strobe (twinkle option) all will work great.

thanks

Perhaps this is related but I had a thought to apply an effect
to multiple elements using coordinate information in the preview
window.

For instance imagine a curtain effect across all elements in your display.

I believe Sean has said that whole display effects could be done, but not until next year.
