Title: one last post before I push for a coop
Post by: TexasStingray on August 13, 2013,
Just wanted to check and see if anyone has any outstanding issues before I try and get the 1st coop going.

My player has been running for over a week now.  I used xlights/nutcracker to create a sequence, opened it in vixen, changed the time to 100ms and ran it through the converter.  Works great for a small standalone rgb project!

Now is the time to go for it.  The device is great.

works just fine for me. I think there will be a problem with the alignment of the rj45 jack, the power jack and the card reader being flush with the side wall of the case...but looking forward to the coop anyway.

Thanks for doing this whole project. Its been a great idea from the start!

Since I have an original, are there any big reasons to get this latest version?

Any hardware changes I'd need to make before an update to the PIC ?

Have not had any problems with the player did make one seq file that only plays once and then stops but this just something that happened in the file - have not had a problem with the panther player or the sd card reader at all

I believe Bata 3 version of the firmware provides for the same functionality, but will not have any new functionality added and is not compatable with the V1 firmware. Version 1 has a on board ICSP, on board trigger connector with resistors that I have tested with the conductor trigger board to provide up to 15 trigger events / shows, and an expansion connector for growth in case I want to add something like a sound card. Have not had a chance to test the sound card but I have the same sparkfun one that the conductor uses.
