LE First Build Complete
« on: March 23, 2011, »
OK I just finished my first LE this was part of the coop so everything is programed.
When I plugged it in all 3 LEDs  lite. The unit ID came up 1 so I am guessing everything is OK. Now is there a simple way with out running a Vixen program to test the output channels to make sure they are working. (on, off, twinkle fade)
I have a dongle built so if I need it I have it.
Sorry for all the questions being the first one & not knowing what to do.

Greetings,,,

If you plug in lights and run the LE test, the lights will follow the on board leds...

Greetings,,,

I'm speaking of the onboard test that you can use with the buttons on the LE.

Edit.  Or just plug it in with lights plugged in at the start.

On the board press the "Mode" button until "tst" is displayed on the display. Then press "Select". This will not test fade but the LED's on the board should cycle during the test, plug in lights and you should see the test sequence run. Do you have a dongle to connect the LE to the Computer? If so Bill's how to video shows how to do a basic test.

Just did the test &

               EVERYTHING WORKED   <la..

The dongle & LE functioned just like they were suppose to. Now I just have to figure out how to combine LOR & LE using xLights.

            Thanks for everyone's help

Check the wiki page, its in the wiki about lor and the le working together. It was one of the first things I checked cause I have several thousand tied up in lor boxes and sequences.
