Higher Res Image of 16 port Hub
« on: September 21, 2011, »
I'm at Step 3 on the SS 16 port HUB. The image isn't large enough to know for sure which direction the 150 ohm resister is installed. I could assume based on what I think would make the most sense, but would rather know for sure. Also the 4.7K ohm in Step 4 is too difficult to make out. Can someone either post a higher res photo or let me know which direction? I could update the Wiki if given access...

Resistors don't have a polarity

Put them in any direction you like

I myself out of habit when they say the striped bands - either go from top to bottom or left to right with colors - but ya resistors dont make a diff - i just like my stuff looking neat for my personal satisfaction...

I drive my daughter crazy because I line up my fries as I eat them.  :)

I like the tolerance bands all facing in the same direction for easy reading later.

Glad to know I'm not the only one who makes sure all the resistors go the same way.  We are our own worst critics.

I like to line mine all up the same direction. Only I appearently sometimes forget which way and get them backwards so on one board theyre lined up this way and on the next theyre lined up that direction.   :o (Sometimes I go outside to the car to get something and by the time I get there I forget why I went out there.  Grrrrrr)   <fp.

I tell my family thats the way I wanted em.   ;D
