WTB: Freestyle or something to drive DC SSRs
« on: October 16, 2009, »
I'm planning on working on some LED floods, and need something to drive the DC SSRs.  I have a DCSSR from DYIchristmas.

I was thinking a Freestyle would be a good item to drive the external DC SSRs (need to switch 24V, not 12).

Does anyone have a Freestyle already assembled, or a Freestyle PCB they want to part with?

Also, if anyone has a DC SSR board or 2-3 units they'd like to sell, drop me a line...

PM works best.

Thanks,
Mark

Kind of a expensive way to go in my opinion. I just use the MR16 controller for it. As I have said before I do not think 24 volts is a big issue just check the temp of the 7805 and put a heatsink on it if needed.  The rest of the system is good to go for 24 volts.

RJ,
Thanks for the feedback.  I would rather use the MR16, especially since once my backorder from Mouser shows up with the LED drivers, I will have 2 to play with.

I do have one DC SSR I got from someone on DYI...

Guess I'll order the LED's for the floodlight soon.
