Title: Wireless Help!!!
Post by: abrianbaker on August 04, 2011,
Ok,

I built my TX and my le RX however I am having a problem.

The wireless devices are communicating with each other.  (the data light comes on on the le board.  However when I run a test sequence nothing happens.

When I unhook the wireless and plug the cat 5 in directly it works.

The universes are set the same and yes I have tried all three.

I checked all solder joints and all are good.

I am at a loss...

Any ideas?

The antennas are somewhat directional - they work best when the boards are verticle with the antenna portion at the top.

I have also seen irregular behavior when the TX and RX are too close together (less than 6' apart) and if the dongle and TX are too close together (specifically, they did not work well with the two boxes side by side - 3 feet apart worked with no issues).

From inside the house to receivers in the yard - flawless.

RM is correct, They are fairly powerful and can mess with each other if close together.

Thanks for the response guys.  I think that infact was my problem.  Close together no workie.  Far apart works flawlessly!!!  Thanks again and Thanks RJ for having such awesome products!!

This was a very helpful post.  I was having exactly the same issue.  Moved the LE to the other end of the room and voila.  Its going to be great.
