Title: chauvet dmx70 to dmx ssr4
Post by: lightsup on August 17, 2009,
Hi I have one dmx ssr4 built and would like to try it out with my chauvet dmx 70 can it be done and how.
I read the wiki ssr4 manual and it say that you need to program the addressing channels but I don't have my dongle built yet .

To expand on Doctor Keith's reply

All lynx dmx hardware default to channel 1
So using your DMX light controller
Use a XLR to RJ-45 cable (see wiki if you need to make one)
Plug in the SSR4-dmx and add lights to one or all four channels
Add power and more the sliders up or down and see if the lights work

Thank's that makes sense , if I where to connect more ssr4 boards will they all respond to channel 1 to 4
or 1 to 4 then 5 to 8 ect.  I will give it a trial on the weekend.
Thanks for the replies.

If all of the ssr4s are on channel 1 then they will all respond to 1-4. Of course if you change the start address then they will respond to that channel.
