need some help for a lighting effect

Hello DIY, 
I like to make a six foot mega style tree. The effect I'm trying for is star dust or trail in orbit around the tree, any Ideas?

You could probably use a smart string or two in pixel mode wrapped around the tree to create that effect.  If the tree is made of pixel nodes in hybred or pixel mode, then it is simply a matter of sequencing.  Not easy but doable.
