Title: Aether II - Finishing Touches
Post by: inzeos on November 11, 2011,
I put together my first Aether II from the first coop kits.

So far I've supplied the enclosure from Northern.

I know I need the following still, which is not part of the coop kits;

20ga wire - attacheds LED to the PCB
12v AC transformer - Home Depot

I'm assuming SPT-2 or SPT-1 should be used between each Aether II and the transformer?

A grommet potentially for the heat sink to avoid wear and tear on the wires between the LED and the PCB.  Would this be a 3/8" sized grommet?

Anything else I may be over looking?  Hoping to make one trip out to pick stuff up that is missing this weekend.

That grommets seemed big to me.  I actually cut out a piece of it to fit it in the hole.

You need power wires from the board out the back.  The a power cord or whatever your going to use for connectors.

Yeah, that is what I was thinking the SPT-2 or SPT-1 would be used for?  Or is their a more preferable wire of choice?

The wire is fine, just the connectors are the question.

Running the Malibu 300w transformer.  Sounds like from their planning guide that one should use 12/2 low voltage cable with it.

They also seem to make connectors as well.  Wonder if those would be appropriate.
