Title: Start Channel
Post by: coachers on November 04, 2010,

Okay, I need to set the start channel on my Freestyle to 65. I have read the wiki and also read the part of using vixen to do this.

 Here is my questions:

I know Vixen is free, I just don't want to learn it again. Took me long enough to understand LSP and my brian is fried.  <wd..

I am not sure about LSP, but just use the Lynx Address Utility.  It works great and is easy to use.

I thank you!

Glad I asked, didn't know I had to let each SSR know its start channel too. I thought the Freestyle handled all that. That's what I get for thinking  <wd..

You don't need to tell the SSR's what channel they are.  Actually, they have no way to know.  Remember, the freestyle controls plain SSR4's, not DMX enabled SSR4's.  The start channel of each SSR4 controlled by the Freestyle simply depends on the start address of the Freestyle controlling them and what port of the Freestyle they are connected to.

Okay, that's what I thought.  Made me think, why do I have a freestyle. It doesn't do a damn thing the lazy bum!

Thank You for clearing that up. You Da Man and your name represents a great cut of beef.  <wd..
