I put most of my display up this year after dark and used one of these to light up the night.  I'm going to pick up a few more just in case next year is the same way.

Are these cases good for the Aether IIs as well?   As these guys ship to Canada, I'm going to order two if they are indeed the best case to get for the Aether IIs

OK thanks...i'll have to source the parts elsewhere...the two shipping options were $160 and $34 USD for a $30 total order....insane.The live chat agent told me to call UPS if I didn't like the price. There's customer support for ya.

Nice customer service, seems to be the trend.  Neighbor told me a story about a call he had and the person ended up saying "its not my problem".

Geeze more for shipping than the product.  Awesome

Do you have a home depot up there? Some people here have used the 500 watt cases with god results

Will this one work?

I would guess yes, looks almost the same.  I would just look at the width/height specs just to see if they are close.

Appears to be too small...

Lowes
Height 14 inches
Length 9½ inches
Width 9 inches

Northern (according to amazon.com)
27.6 x 10.8 x 14 inches

cdn tire is the same size (I wonder if amazon has the dimensions wrong) http://www.canadiantire.ca/AST/browse/3/HouseHome/Lighting/WorkLights/PRDOVR~0524080P/500W+Portable+Halogen+Work+Lightgen+Floodlight.jsp?locale=en

Anyone have their tape measure handy to verify dimensions?

That case should work no problem. you are looking at overall dimmesions which the only thing that really matters is the actual fixture case. if I recall RJ designed the aether II to fit a variety of cases .( 500 watt )  not 250 watt. Worse case is you will have to play around with the heatsink to make it fit

+1  I think just about any 500watt light will work.  You only care about the dimensions of the light frame itself.
