EMT Bending - How-To
« on: August 29, 2012, »
I had to admit I was retarded when it came to bending EMT conduit. I have not been good at it, and finally got some help to learn how to get bent in a better way.

I have never seen a tutorial on How To bend conduit, so I came up with this one. I hope it helps someone out there who was as "challenged" as I was doing this.

Great tutorial !

FYI, If you are doing electrical work and piping it, a few basic rules.
No bends over 90 degrees in a single bend, yes you can put additonal bends just after/before a 90.
No more than 360 degrees between junction boxes...includes offsets and kicks.
Be SURE to tighten fittings, these provide a ground path...
I know nothing......and I prove it DAILY!!!

I modified this How-To slightly. I found myself in need of bending some larger diameter circles so I posted a new update to this information. You can find it here:
