You said you made up eight sections, is that eight strings of dumb strings and how many nodes in the dumb string and what is the length of each section.  Where did you get the tubing?

Ken
me? yes, eight sections...

pvc (the same thinwall pvc as the ssc controllers use) from Lowes
tm1804 chips from Ray
caps, resistors, adapter pcbs from ebay
3wire cable (from another member here - but ultimately from Ray)
dumb strips from ebay

picture of each section (i added 3core connectors from ray to each section, to quickly change out a defective section)

Each section is 3 pieces of (3led sections of dumb strip) for a total of 9 "5050" leds

on the end of each section is a taped up cube that contains the TM1804 chip to control the colors of the section of arch. (one chip power all 9 leds * 3 colors)
