Plastic clear PVC any one.

Has any one used clear plastic tubing with RGB lights.

This would open some possibility.

Here is a guy that did lights to music. You can see the effect at the end of the video.

I was looking at the stuff, but it got expensive quickly with larger diameters.

the lowest cost rigid clear tubes i can find so far is extruded acrylic. but since the strings are fairly waterproof, i don't know what i'd need a tube for.
To rule the entire tri-state area!  What's that? Perry the Platypus!!!

I think it would give a different look to it.
Just a though if you could get the clears tube at the right size
to slide the round nodes threw and just keep sliding them in
they would be 2 inches between them.

Maybe I will get a one foot piece of tubing and try it out.
You could use them as arches.

Never know till you experiment a little.

My arches are 3/4" clear plastic tubing, 10 feet long. I have 6 arches. Each contains two 90 led smart strings, One string facing upward, one string facing downward. They have hooks on each end and are held in tension by a piece of green banding with D rings on each end. I will be taking them down in the next few days and will post some pictures.

This next year I will be building some 4 foot icicles using the same materials.

Are they inside the clear tubes?

Can you get a video with showing the music and lights?

It would be interesting to see.

How much did you pay for the tubes?

Thanks

Here is my show for this year. I also posted it on The Porch with some explanations. The arches are made from clear tubes. If you would like more information about the arches, just let me know. I am checking on what I paid for the 10 foot tubes. I am totally happy with this arch arrangement.

Great show Rick.

I like the fact you can't see the tubes when not on.

Yes. I don't if it would be cost effective for trees.
