Im looking into putting lasers in my show. I'm looking at buying a Chauvet Scorpion RGY Laser which is a professional grade one that works on dmx but it uses the 3-pin dmx connector. All of our diy dmx is ethernet cable. Does anyone know if there is an adapter out there or if you can adapt it to pluginto our dongle would it even work? Would vixen even talk to it?

There is a pin to pin diagram on the wiki so you can make your own adapter

DMX is DMX so if it is a DMX device, it will talk toi either Dongle that is flashed with DMX.  The 3 wire connection includes a ground which is not required for RS485 communications but may be code in some areas for commercial applications.

I used the Chauvet RGY Laser in my Halloween set up.

You can make the cable yourself, or buy an adapter here (I bought this adapter)
