Smart String Power Supply
« on: April 24, 2013, »
I am new at this so I am looking for some input. I am thinking I am going to pick one of these up, 62 amps of 12 VDC on a single rail.

I will be using it to power a 16 port active hub, or Zeus maybe.

That's what I used, only made by Thermaltake. They worked great. I used 3 750 watt single rail (1 per active hub) . That's a good price. I'll have to pick one up. Thanks spudman78.

(ok, I just got one $20.00 rebate too)

Nice find!  Should work well for 1,600 nodes or so...  62A * 12V = 744W @ 80% = 595.2W / .356W per node = 1,671
Sam, who is happy he flashed his etherdongle with newest firmware!
