Ethernet & Telecom Connectors

I see these make up half the price of a freestyle BOM parts or better.  Has anyone ever used the ones off Ebay?  They are about 50 cents in most cases.  Here is Mouser:

the issue would be the material that the contacts are made of. and from order to order, it might not be possible to determine the consistancy. (the metal material might be different each order)

what this translates to, is the component might corrode over time in the elements causing a short or failure.

that being said, i have ordered from this particular seller, and i have one of them sitting on my porch for over a year now and it still hasn't corroded. and i've used them on 4 of my freestyles. but i've been using them inside.
