Difference between SS Controller v1 and v2?
« on: December 19, 2012, »

I'm scrambling to repair two failed controllers.

Aside from the firmware and the one resistor (and different arrangement of holes for the CAT5), is there any other difference between v1 and v2 controllers?

Yes different pins are used on the pic for output. So the traces on the board are different

Operationally the answer is no. Circuit wise the answer is as previously stated. A ver 1 can be converted to a V2 however, even a V3 for that matter.
