I know i should know this but for the life of me.... I've searched everywhere and couldn't find the answer.
Is the current 9AAF Firmware 50Hz aware?
I ask because I should update from the beta code i think is still in the PIC, mind you it did run fine again this year.
Thanks for everything RJ
Cheers

It is different firmware for the 50hz. They are not aware like the Express of the line freq. I should have a copy but do not think it is posted.

Thanks for the reply.
Could I grab a copy of the current 50hz version please, is there many 50Hz freestyle users?
I've fielded a couple of PM's for Aus/Nz people interested in using a Freestyle.
Cheers

Phil it is what you have. You were the only one I know of playing with the test firmware. I am unsure how many people are using the FS in 50hz. Not sure where they would get the firmware as it seems to never have made it out of beta with you. Or maybe I have forgot and it did. I'm forgetful.

Forgetful - never.
I was sure a couple of freestyle boards made it over here in the original coop. maybe i'm confused, think i'm more forgetful.
The last firmware i got is dated 7th June 2008 and with pulling the PIC to confirm I think this was the one we were tweaking for 24v operations, though it ran fine for my 240v stuff this year.
The freestyle IMHO remains the best choice for use with external SSR's for 240v AC

HI, i didnt get past the testing stage of building my kits this year but with the new coop im planning ahead.
I used the firmware from the wiki on my freestyle and it all seems to work ok. if there is a specific firmware for 50hz then i would like to try it out.

Phil,
If you have the test firmware handy that you know worls post it and I will see if Rick would put it into the wiki.
The ones I would grab I at this late date I could not be sure is the one that worked for you.

oops sorry RJ, missed this post.
I have to rebuild the main computer over the weekend so early next week i'll grab a copy from the current PIC to ensure i get the working version.
The one i have was tweaked for 24v operation with transformers, however it ran the 240v lights 2009 just fine.

Keith,
As the version i have was a special release that allows for fine tuning the zc timing.
If i get time over the next few days, i'll see if can fire up the scope and tweak it correctly for a balance between straight 50Hz and 50Hz via transformers as there is a slight difference.
The tweak gives the best dimming range. I may not need to touch it at all but it would be good to check as it's been a while and i need to refresh brain.

Here's the HEX file from the freestyle running on 50Hz, that i have used for two seasons now.
RJ: this is the test version with the zero cross tuning in the eeprom. It was fine for me for 240v this year.
