Scavenging

I noticed a neighbor throwing away an old style big screen tv. probably is a protection tv. Is it likely or unlikely to have parts worth scavenging? I thought the screen might be useful for ledtricks2

If it is a projection, mirrors, lenses, screen, Lots of fun stuff. Just be carefull, Hi Voltage Is Inside. Fun stuff to practice soldering. May even still work? Case could be a display.
