I plan to spray my Express with CorrosionX. Do I need to mask any parts of the board first (e.g., DMXconnectors)?

nope just do it lightly as you do not need, nor want to coat it heavy. The stuff wicks over a day or two everywhere even in holes. Then it becomes like a waxy coating. Everyone goes overboard the first time worried they will miss something and then finds out if you get just a little on it over all, it will take care of the rest.

Do you pull anything from the board, like the 7 segment modules, when you spray the board?

I use the Aviation stuff and I do not pull anything I spray it like I use it.

If you are a person that worries about it then sure. I have some I have done and most I have not. I have never had an issue with a LE from moisture in the case. I have had power cables get too wet and cause the lights to be on lightly all the time. It was leaking power at the power plugs. Electrical tape fixes this after drying them out.

I have had a moisture issue in a SSR case. But this was do to some idiot I will not name, his initials are "RJ", let it get hung by its cables upside down where the water could run down the cables into the case  <fp.

What about the three RJ45 jacks on the board?  Should those be isolated from the spray, or is it ok to spray them like the rest of the board?

I would think that might insulate the connections.  Or should we have the CAT5 plugged in and then spray?

I was wondering... is there any point on spraying stuff that's soldered in since surface corrosion won't change the conductivity of something that's soldered? Can you just blast the chips that are stuck into the sockets, and also where the 120V connections are?
