Sean, in prior tutorials you have mentioned some things that do not work for animated gifs like optimization and something else. I am trying to create a gif and wondering what I should be doing to make the gif more compatible for Nutcracker use. Can you list some things in a little checklist that might help me?
like
1. do not optimize
2.
3.
etc.
1) Transparent gifs are each layer of the animation iss added together to make the final image. I dont do the addition. If you have a transparent gif, it works, you will just see each layer separetly.
2) Optimized gifs store an offset for each layer. The purpose was to make the gif smaller. An optimized gif works, but there will be a jitter the animation.
3) Since we autosize the gif down, dont have animatiosn that are too complex. it wont look good when minimized.
thats it for animated gifs
for static images (jpg, png and gfs) look for images without too much complexity. I like bloack backgrounds rather than white.
you just load them and then try them to see.
thanks
