Received My Light Strings
« on: May 05, 2011, »
Got My Order in today.

I wanted to start a new thread to show goods things about my order.  I know as well as a lot of you that there have been problems with some orders, but things seem to be looking better.  I received my order today and I note the following:

My order is correct, in fact I have an extra node.  All modules look to be sealed with no exposed boards or parts.  Ends of node also appear to be nice and sealed as well.  Square modules are also sealed.  All contacts on the square modules are covered in sealant.  I do have the very tops of some of the chips that are exposed, but all electrical contacts are sealed.  I'll cover these spots with some clear epoxy later.

The shipping boxes were a bit crinkled, but some of that is bound to happen when shipping around the world.
The shipment started May 1 and got here today May 5.  Not bad at all.

They look good.  Did you light them up yet?
If at first you don't succeed,

Hi Bill

Everything looks great. Guess it was worth the wait.

Cheers

Update:
Took possession of my strings today.  Just a quick look but did not see any obvious problems.  Will test them with the simle control (from Ray) in a few days.
