BOM Substitution Parts for 240v Operation

(1/2) > >>

pHoZfoRus:
I hope that I am not posting a question that may have already been asked and answered elsewhere.

I am trying to knock up (build) the Lynx Splitter v2.  I was in the process of getting the parts list together and noticed that the transformer was for 115 volts.  Being in Australia, this is obviously an issue as we work off 240 volt mains.

I have checked the Manual listed on the Wiki and there is no mention of parts substitution to meet 240 volt conditions (ala the Express Manual Appendix B 240VAC mod).  The Wiki does specify that the Splitter will work with 240 volts however a 240v transformer and different resistors are required.

Can someone please point me in the right direction to identify the correct parts that need substitution?

You will need to change the fuse and transformer (no resistors need to be changed on the splitter, it's the LE that needs different resistors).

It looks like BV020-5382.0 would work for the transformer; Mouser is out and shows it as EOL, but Digikey has 1400 of them.

Mike's got it right... (Pulse manufacturer p/n BV020-5382.0)  I ordered Digikey's p/n 567-1019-ND.  Mouser has never carried the 240V version afaik.

pHoZfoRus:
Thanks for the replies guys .  I am onto Digi-Key as we speak to get the transformer!

There was an error in the BOM; it is spec'ing a 10A fuse.  RJ will look into that; when I built them, I used a 1A fuse.

[Updated: RJ fixed it...]
