Title: Almost there, start channel
Post by: twooly on June 15, 2012,
Almost have my Aether build complete but having 2 troubles.  One I can't get it to change the start channel (i'm using Rick R's) start channel since I'm using an Etherdongle.  I get the bright white flash after I change the switch so not sure whats going on.

Other strange thing I noticed I opened vixen/test channels and selected channel one and it turned on green, channel two blue and then channel 3 white.  Shouldn't it be RGB instead of GBW?

Thanks

Never mind I got it figured out.  I did the following to change the channel since the program wasn't for whatever reason. Probably an id 10 t error.

Create a blank sequence and set the intensity value for channel #1 to what you want your start channel to be and leave everything else set to zero. (If your start channel is less than 256)

If I remember correctly the new aethers are rgbw - when the 4th channel is > 0, the other three are turned off and white LEDs are dimmed.

After I got it over it looks like the standard rgb at least that's what I'm seeing.

You might want to remove the heat grid.  I don't think that you will need it.
