Title: Use Color Palettes to get more out of your Nutcracker effects
Post by: smeighan on November 25, 2014,
One thing we might miss in using xlights is the judicious use of color palettes. You can have unlimited palettes, 6 colors per.

edit the palette. You can save the current palette and give it a name, you load a palette from a saved name.
you can have unlimited palettes.
Have one dim colors
one bright
one palette that are blues, greens.
you then load a palette to use.  Every effect can have a different palette.
The only thing you cant do is change the palette mid stream in an effect. You cant start spirals with one palette and end with a different one.
Effect 1 and 2 have their own set of palettes. All of this palette info is stored in your sequence xml.

try some of these

and then use this free tool that uses this theory
