Can the board be powered from the 12v connection from a smart string hub?

Example...

Connect the board's dc input to the 12v connector on the smart string hub, then connect the dmx in from the board to the smart string hub's dmx out.

Hey Chris

I would guess you could. But I would feel safer just using an unused 12v power connector from the ps. Just watch the current load on the ps from both the dc board (formerly known as mr16) and whatever you are using with the SS hardware. That way you are not using the pcb traces to power up the dc board.

currently, (no pun intended ;D ) I'm not running any smart strings, just merely using two smart string hubs to pull out 2 DMX universes. (i don't have a 2nd dongle built yet)  : )
