First Show 2009
« on: December 22, 2009, »
This is my first show, and basically I did it for my kids, I started middle on November and the 4 LE worked flawlessly, other than cut the track for 3.3V and bridge them to the 9V unregulated since none of the LE could start properly. (The 3.3V regulators came in two different orders from Mouser and still got the same problem).

I’m astonished how many people stop by every night to watch the show, I did a tree with 1200 lights 32 channels and I thought it was going to be enough, the tree barely can be seen :).

I can’t thank enough to RJ to make it possible, as a first display was kind of a proof of concept; because the responses I got, I can’t wait to start planning what I’ll do for 2010.

For sure at least I need to go to 128channels, could be cool to have a controller with 32/64 channels in a single box, since the tree requires so many channels.

Also I guess I need the terminators with 47K resistors on the L.E.D strings since I get “random” (they really follow a pattern) of channels been activated for a short time even when they are not part of the sequence.

Thanks to everyone in the forum and especially to RJ.

This year I just did 3 songs as a test.

I see what  you mean about the tree lighting.  I think my tree suffers the same delimea.    Great job at sequencing those songs!
