Ok - Let me explain a bit more. 'Romex clamps' are intended to be used indoors, out of the weather. That being said, it's possible to utilize them inside a 'protected' enclosure. There are several alternatives, but it's going to be up to the individual using them to decide. Here's one I found at a local/national supply place---- You are not allowed to view links.

It all depends on several factors - outside (rain/wind/excessive cold/etc...), Some enclosures you can purchase are designed for outdoor use. The CG-1500 is, but it has limitations as it is designed for 'COXIAL' cable and such.. You have to use a 'sealant', silicone or something similar to make it resistant to water penetration (notice I did not say ""WATER PROOF""). Believe me when I say that nothing is truly 'waterproof', humidity and other factors will make certain enclosures 'sweat/condensate' on the inside.
I'm no expert on the subject, but Ive had my dealings with several issues on enclosures.....
