Dumb question probably... but

For multiple universes, do I need multiple Dongles?

There are no dumb questions, except the unasked ones.

Yes, to achieve multiple universes one needs multiple dongles.

Best o' luck.

Yep, one dongle per universe.

Thanks guys...

It was late when I posted and I just couldn't wrap my head around it!

So in Vixen,  for example, a profile for a multi-universe sequence would have multiple Entex DMX Pro plugins selected... and then what?  Oh... I get it... you would configure each plugin for the appropriate channel range.  (Thinking out loud... er, ah, as I type.)

Yes -- each plugin would be pointed at a different COM port, which in turn would be connected to a different dongle. And then each plugin gets a different set of 512 channels.

HTH.
