I made 2'x2' coro letters " *Merry Christmas *" 200 incans each. ( 3200 holes) the stars are gold with red centers with one channel for each color. Tip. when drilling coro use a nice sharp bit.

I have been looking into present boxes. I would like to do some but so far have not been satisfied with what I have found. I am thinking rope lights or something. Maybe put them under the mega tree.

I bought 2 clear storage bins at HD when they had them on sale in the fall.  A trip to the $1 store for a red tablecloth and 2 night lights, add the finishing touch of tinsel as the "ribbon" and you have yourself a decoration that doubles as storage.

They've held up surprisingly well considering the bottom part of the boxes have been in snow for most of the show season.  Worst case scenario is that I have to buy a new tablecloth for next year.  I've attached a pic.

Good luck!

Steve

I just bought 32, 2 ft. indoor table top trees for next to nothing. I have an idea to make a 32 channel mega tree consisting of the 32 trees I just bought. I will share pictures when I begin construction of it... ;D

When I was there I counted 16 poles about 10 feet tall with 8 segments per pole.  He had them in 2010 and 2009, can't say before that.

I saw a local display where an arch was used as an upright helix with about a 30" diameter.  Looked pretty cool.

I see your breadboard, are you building the controller for this yourself?

Will you have the ability to control the lights, to change their direction, ...and create bounce effects?
