DMX Console
« on: January 22, 2012, »
Just wanted to share with everyone what I have been working on. I call it the DMX Console for Lynx Express. From the picture below you will see that it has 2 primary screens a Dimmer Console and the Pattern Console.

Dimmer Console: Each instance of the Dimmer Console can control up to 16 channels and has a master dimmer.

Pattern Console: Each instance is can control an unlimited number of channels, of course DMX has a max of 512, you select the starting channel and the pattern to run. Oh, yea you can create your own patterns. The list of patterns is populated from a patterns.xml file in the conf folder, and the actual patterns are in the patterns folder.

It use the first DMX USB Dongle that it detects.
It will be free to anyone who wants it but I want to control the first release and get feedback. If you are interested in being one of the first and are willing to work with me on make sure it works for everyone before I release it please send me a PM with your email.

Requires .NET 4

Scott

NOTE: Changing the name to DMX Console.

Scott,

I would love to do this but just ordered by LE's in this last coop.  Not sure when you are looking to release.  One thing that would help some that will be using this for other projects would be the ability to save the scene like they provide on the larger boards.

I would love to work with you by helping to test your DMX Console. I may not be the smartest bulb in the string, but I can test software for problems (and good stuff also). Jim

Some changes have been made and testing seem to be going good. I will open testing up for a few more individuals.

One of the key new features is the DMX Ouput Console where you get a visual of the signals being sent.

Thanks
