Title: SSR4 180 ohm resistor
Post by: egenoup on April 19, 2010,
It looks like the SSR4 board was designed to use 1/8 watt resistor, but the BOM lists 1/4 watt.   The other explanation is that the board was designed for the 1/4 watt resistor to be insterted on it's side (aka standing up).  To laydown the resistor, I had to zig-zag the leg to fit in the holes...

Thanks,

Greetings,,,

The SSR4 manual explains that they are meant to stand up, due to space limitations.

Sorry, I guess I was "skimming" through that part....  once you build a few kits, you kinda get cocky....   :o

I have been trimmed back down to size.  I will go re-read the manual ten times!    <la..

Thanks Keith,

Charles

Greetings,,,

Start counting them by the hundreds, and you'll wonder if everyone couldn't get by with just one or two, and position them lengthwise....
