i am home as of yesterday! I cant drive for 6 weeks. i need to do 80-100 inspirations per day (inhale at least 1 leter). This hurt. They said playing my flute counts as therapy. I played my flute many times each day while iw as in the hospital. I am getting for lung capacity. U can inhale 1200ml now, normal person is between 2000-3500ml inhalation. i used to (like a few years ago have a 6000ml inhalation. comes from playing the piccolo. it is frustrating having to go slow.

3 scoutmasters came over last weekend and finished installing and setting my kitchen cabinets. i am blessed with so many kind friends.

now as a sit around, i think  will start on single strand effects, i will need them for my show.

thanks everyone

Glad to hear that everything went well.  Now where are the recording of the flute playing that you need to do for your therapy.   ;D

I wish you a speedy recovery. Altho a warning....avoid building and soldering while on pain medications...while recovering  from back surgery a few years back I made several Lynx paper weights ...... <fp.

Hi Sean

How are you doing? Is the pain going away and how goes the breathing practice?

Hi Sean

How are you doing? Is the pain going away and how goes the breathing practice?

Rick R.

i have never had much pain from this operation maybe a 5 out of the 1-10 scale. i am mostly a pain level of 0-1 the last week. I am playing my flute (vivaldi, bach), that is exercising my lungs pretty well!

Saw the nurse yesterday, she said i am making one of the most rapid recoveries of any of her patients.

I do still get tired if i do too much. i have oxygen at my home and use it maybe 1-2 hours per day. My wife bought an exectrical recliner that is now in the family room. i sleep in that chair. so, it is pretty great.

i will have a beauty of a zipper. I am so lucky that all this was caught. i cant wait to see what it will fell like in another 6-8 weks. i have to wait 4 more weeks before i will be allowed to drive. That is driving me the most nuts. luckily working from home is my normal process. i will probably start back with limited work scheduled in about two more weeks.

so, i would say i am doing great!

I am half way through the new single strand effect class. I might even be giving a tutorial this thrusday...

thanks for all the prayers and support

sean

Sean, will you be able to get a show out this year?

i assumed that your initial efforts were with the software, and you expected to work on the lights "later".

there will be a show.

i have both the boys scout troop has offered oto have boys come and setup my vertical matrix for halloween.

For christmas, i have had a half dozen members from the various boards offer to come and get the lights up on the eaves and the megatree assembled.

I do believe i will be having a show

*smile*

pretty humbling the help i have received.

Wow Sean that is Great News.

After watching what my Dad went through back in 2002/2003 I was concern about you. I must say you are doing Amazing well and it must be a testament to your health before the surgery. Many thanks for the update and all the best to you. I am really happy for you that so many people are helping you get your show setup for this year.
