2000 smart string controllers in the coop. Assuming 100 pixels each = 200,000 pixels. At 0.50 each = $100,000 in pixels.
Now many of us ordered extra controllers without planning on getting strings. Be conservative and say half of the stings get ordered. Ray (or wherever we order them from) is going to be dealing with $50K.
I wonder if he has enough credit to get these built without seeing some money. If he has limited credit at the factories, it could affect the delivery times some of us may see. I believe all of us pay after delivery, correct?
Thanks to Firebird for opening up a huge coop to relieve the pent up demand from last year. The Nutcracker probably has encouraged some to build rgb this year.
sorry
I built the tool for myself. Now, i find i am planning more RGB that i originally thought last january. Part of this is seeing what the effects look like on smaller trees.

I'm looking doing a pixel mega tree similar to this one.

I may also so some of the mini's you can see in the video.
Right now I'm trying to figure out what to make them with. I'm looking at a 2" spacing on the pixels and may put ping-pong balls over the pixels.

You could just get the C9 clear plastic covers that snap over each pixel as alternative to messing with ping-pong balls.

Wow that thing is bright. I'm sure my neighbors across the street would hate me with a tree like that :)

I thought about that last year and ordered from Ray, though I did not have any in the show last year. I hope it does not back up too much?

I did contact Ray last month and warned him to be ready that a wave of orders was in his future. <;d
