Preheat option?
« on: November 22, 2011, »
Im sure the answer to this is no but I thought I would check, my express might be (still to decide) some 500w lamps and things, and I've read about preheat to help extend the length of the bulb. Preheat is where the bulb never receieves 0V but recieves between 5%-10% of power so the lamp appears off but is still on. Does the firmware contain an option to do this or is there a way to bring this option into the firmware? Or would I need to make a hardware change?

Try setting the off to be 5% in your sequence. Not sure if RJ has a light curve that does this, I don't see why not.

Okay :) does RJ make the light curves? Or can I make them? Just so I know if I should be contacting him

I would try updating the light curve list in the express programming software, I didn't see one. Then contact RJ.
