Target sale & wife buy in!
« on: December 31, 2011, »
My wife called me from Target this morning and told me that  I better get down there because the lights are 70% off... I have 12,000 new lights in the carts and she is still adding stuff!

Wow! All of the targets within 25 miles of me were out of lights right after they were at 30%.

Most of the targets around here were sold out, but one centrally located near lowes, home depot, and Wal-Mart wasn't.

Now comes the fun part. The strands have seven different color bulbs. I'm going to convert the strands to solid colors. I purchased enough strands so I should end up with sixteen strands of each color.

I picked up some spt2 extension cords.  I look at all the big box store LED's as many still have steel leads and don't think they will last unless they are used indoors.

Target was good to me this year.
I got 20k+ lights, 8 snowmen 54", 8 pink flamingos, 6 deer 54". 2 Santa's 36", and I ended up buying all the Phillips 9 ft. rope light they had, about 120 boxes.
I need another shed....

The 12,000 are not led. I do have some others that are, though :(

What do I have to look out for when converting the multi strands to solid color strands?

You know these are just going to lead to more things you want to plug in. :)

You won't have any electrical issues but I would suggest getting something to help pull the bulbs or you won't have any finger nails left.
