Title: SS Hub - How to configure LSP to use DMX
Post by: jnealand on October 14, 2011,
I started defining all my channels and controllers in LSP but have not found an answer on configuring the 512 DMX channels that come off the hub.   Do I tell LSP that I am using DMX or pixelnet?  I understand that the hub will convert the 512 to DMX, but what does LSP do about having an LE configured for pixelnet or does that not make any difference to LSP, i.e it is just telling LSP where to send the output.

just set it to pixelnet and remember the 1st 512 channels are dmx for that universe

so pixelnet will start at 513 for that hub

Tell LSP you are using pixelnet if you are using the dongle.  Set the channel number based on what range of channels you have set using the jumpers on the board.

Assume you set the DMX jumper to 2. In LSP channel 513 would equal DMX channel 1.  The hub does the mapping for you.

I knew the hub would do the mapping, but I was concerned about LSP and how it would treat the DMX controllers if set to pixelnet.
