The software we use has a lot of catching up to do... My display consists of 4 mostly full pixelnet universes and if I try to do a full 2:30 second song with a fair amount of effects. After working for 15-20 minutes in LOR S3 cutting pasting etc I can pretty reliably get the SW to go out to lunch... (looks like a probable memory leak in the cut and paste routines).
Anyways, I see this problem only getting worse as we move into higher and higher channel counts. Hopefully Minleon, Hinkle and LOR all can get better at handling these huge channel count sequences.

P.S. the old adage about save often is very true. S3 seems to free up a good chunk of memory after a save.
