Computer Help
« on: November 30, 2012, »
OK all you computer experts. I have my show running off my laptop and never turn anything off. Every once in a while the laptop will shut off on it own. Where do I need to go and change the settings so it won't turn off, go to sleep or hibernate.

Press Start, type "Power Settings"  Disable sleep etc.
Press Start, "Windows Update", Disable/Turn off Windows Update

for windows xp Right click on the desktop and go to properties. Click the screen saver tab. Tge bottom should show power options. Make sure system standby is turned off. The turn off monitor is fine though . Also click on the hibernation tab and maie sure the check box for enable hibernation is not checked.

For windows vista plus right click the desktop and goto personalize the bottom right should be screen saver. The bottom of the form will have change power settings. Easiest way would be to change the setting to performance. If you dont see that option click the show additional plans.
Its the most wonderful time of the year.

Go to your control panel and select power options. Click on change settings and select never on the settings.
