to help some people alleviate confusion about the cables...
there are two similar but different pixelnet connections when it comes to the active hub. I'll ty to explain them.
Regular Pixelnet
This is the cable coming from the USB Dongle (with or without a combiner), or the EtherDongle. This has the pixelnet universes right on the cable.
This cable runs from a Dongle (usb, or Ether) and goes to an active hub input. or in can go from the active hub single pixelnet output to another hub.
Then we have the pixelnet with power.
This cable runs from a hub output (active or passive) and runs to a ssc, or passive hub

Why dont you just call it the PixelNet backbone that connects the hubs together and the controller connections that supply data and power from the hub to the controller or 4 port passive hub.

that's fine, i was always frustrated (well, not that frustrated) that there were two things, and they had the same name.
i like Pixelnet backbone, and powered pixelnet PBB, and PP?

of course you would be for anything with "bone", right tBONE321? >:D
