Since the overwhelming cause of a bad Triac (affectionately known as a Blown Triac) is a dead short on the output power cord when the channel is told to turn on.
The Express fuses are to protect the board, not the Triacs, because a Triac dies so suddenly.
I'm not sure what fuse type you could put in-line that would reliably open before the Triac. But will definitely say Instant or Super Fast.
- and then I looked at AutoZone
Bussmann 2 Amps AGC fast-acting glass tube fuse
and this In Line holder might do the trick. (AGC fuses come in many many amp sizes)
