It took a bit but I have managed to get two expresses inside one CG-1500 Case!! That should clean up my yard a bit as I have 17 of these beauties. Tried posting a picture but that's all I get "(http://)"

heres the pic

Definitely looks clean from the photo. a couple of questions - with all those cables running out is there added risk of moisture getting in there? also, with full power on the two LEs is there any concern of overheating?
I like the idea of this because up here in Canada I can't find anyone who sells the CG1500 and I need to import them from the US...and at the size of the CG1500, i'm paying as much for shipping as I am for the case :(
I do have one case right now and 3 LEs, so doubling up might not be a bad idea.

I really dont think these units get that hot. But that is why I posted this picture to see if the experts will tell me other wise
-
How many plugs are coming out? 24 or 32?
-
34 total 2 power and 32 outputs. I wasn't finished installing all the channels
-
As for the heat... If you keep your power on each channel down you shouldn't have any problems, but just remember. Those two aluminum bars running across each LE... they are called heat sinks for a reason. ;) I'd be wary about running either at full power.

If you need to do any troubleshooting on the lower board, or make any mods to dongle connections or channel assignment, I'm assuming you need to remove the top board, correct?
-
lets hope no trouble shooting will be required as these boards have been trouble free for four years. All of my lights are LED so the heat should be minimal at best
-
That would be my single biggest concern..one board mounted over the other and you don't have full instant access to the lower board without removing screws.

This set up is exactly what I'll be doing for my 64 channel mega tree. Glad to see it can be done.
