LE instructions indicate use of 2 (14/2) extension cords. But for 14 gauge cords, I only find 3 prong cords (no 2 prong cords) - probably for safety?
Is it correct to use the 3 prong, 14 gauge cords?
Next step is cut off male end and 'tin' the leads. What does 'tin' mean?
Where do you get the case to install the LE board into?

Sure you can use 3 wire just make sure the green (ground) wire can not touch any of the black or white wires or connectors
tin = to solder the end of the wire so it is solid instead of just strands of wire

Separate question... where do you get the cases to install the LE board into? Is that something you have to order online, or are there local stores you can pick that up from?

I use these for output and input cords as I'm not driving mine over 6 amps total. I tin the white and black wire and put a ring connector on the green wire (input and output). I then run a small bolt through the case and hook them all together (green wires). All this is not necessary but works well. A simple two wire extension cord will work if that's what you have. Just don't overload the wires capacity.
