Title: Dave Hoppe, SK
Post by: n1ist on January 18, 2015,
It is sad that I have to report that Dave Hoppe, the developer of the firmware for the Bobcat boards, passed away last night from a brain tumor.  He had been fighting it since December 2011.

May his memory be a blessing.

It is sad to hear of his passing. I will think of him every time I use my Bobcat DMX tester

That is sad to hear..
Please pass my thoughts and best wishes to his family (along with I'm sure all of the DLA users)..
I use the Bobcat Servo board quite a bit in a few projects and I have always felt it was much better than any other DMX servo board out there...

I am so sad on this news. He was a really nice person and I will never forgot that as excited as I was to have someone else developing on DLA, it was nothing compared with his excitement to do so. He was one of the 'give it back people' that make forums great. May he have the best light show in Heaven and may his family have there pain lifted by our lord.
