For those of us who have a distance between the DMX source and the DMX end device, This is what I found.
Connected to the DMX wireless- works great to about 100' then signal interference comes into play and becomes hit or miss.
As far as a hard line connection, I have had no issues until about 300'.
A few dropped packets here and there, but nothing consistant. I tested the cable with my Fluke DSP_2000 cable certifier, and had a high signal loss at the far end. I cut and reterminated both ends with the same results.
I believe that this due to the proximity of the max data length of 328' being achieved.
I do not believe this would be an issue for most of us.

**************UPDATE************************
Well....this has been bugging me a bit.....so I replaced the 485 chip on the tester board. I took a new 1000' box of CAT5E and crimped ends on it. It was about 75% accurate as far as 100ms timimgs went, missed a few ques. I started lopping off 100' sections ( prepping for a data install with known lengths) and had full on 400 ch file play flawlessly at the 800' mark. Must have gotten a bad driver chip....the replacement works great and getting decent distance.
