I hate to ask but... Is the PIC programmed for dmx or pixlent that came with the current coop?
-
It's not programmed.
-
Explains why it doesn't work... <fp. Guess I need to finally buy a PICKIT3
-
That would b a good idea. In this case there is no way for the coop manager to program them but I would bet that even in the coops where they could be, you will see less and less of them being done.
-
i will program if you like
if you mail it to me with a return shipping label so i can send it back
-
If you refer to the wiki, you can find a page with people that can help... There is at least one person with a pickit in the Dallas area.
-
The Etd has a surface mounted PIC. This can not be programmed until you assemble the board, so there is no way that a coop manager can program it for you.
In addition, you can't just remove the PIC from a socket and sent it to someone like you would with some of the other devices. So you either will be sending your assembled Etd to someone to program the PIC or getting yourself a Pickit 3.

Best to just get a pickit 3. In the long run you will never regret having one.
