Anybody have any experience with this?  You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login  $26.99 - Red/Green LED panel - probably need 2 side by side

I had no idea these were so cheap.  Shipping is reasonable - $16.90 for 2 of the red panels with a controller.  - they sell Pic programmers on Ebay which is how I found them.

Anybody tried anything commercially made like this?

Register or Login  this sign used the olded version of their board 64x32 5mm bi-color.  They use shift registers for the columns and 3x8 decoder (x4) for the rows.  We created a driver for the board using a propeller micro.  I have used the board for 3 years.  The board you listed is a newer version that uses driver chips that are easier to work with.  The older boards had tricky/strict timing for it to work properly.
