Do the kits include the enclosures or do those need to be purchased separately? I'm just trying to be prepared as October 1st is slowing approaching.

You purchase them separately

Be aware that when you order stuff you are agreeing to non-commercial usage since the Lynx equipment is deemed for hobbyist use only.  I may not have said that correctly, but I'm sure that RJ will pop in here and set the record straight.

You are spot on. The agreemnet you sign when you join states that you agree notto use any of it for commerical applications.

One More week to the coop.  YEH!!!!!!!!!!!!

Like I should be cheering, I still have two more LE's to put together.  And now that my basement appears to be staying dry  I can concentrate on putting everything back in place and getting started.  But I am ready to order more.  Still having fun.

Thanks Rick and wjgiles50! I just have one more newbie question for now, where do you pick up the power cords for the controllers at? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Garrison

For the power input on the LE, I used the cord from a power strip as it was heavy duty compare to other cords I had around. I have also used pc power cords but they seem to be rated for 10amps. For the output to the lights I normally use extension cords and or a spool of "lamp wire" from the box stores (home depot, lowes, etc).

Cheers

There are a number of places that sell bare-end wires in bulk but in my experience you'll do just as well on your output wires by using Wal-Mart, Lowe's or HD 6' 2-prong extensions cords for a buck or less.  You can get coupons to cut that down too (like Lowe's 10% off in the "moving kit" at the post office).

For input wires on my LE's I like these for full-power potential: You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login  (although the plug orientation isn't ideal).

Thanks guys!

Would these work? You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login

I'm pretty sure they're not outdoor rated, but I thought I'd ask just the same.

I bought a heavy duty 12 awg 80 ft extension cord  from home depot and the plugs for the end and built my own.  I  used about 40 ft of it for the power in cords on the LE and I also now have a 40 ft heavy duty extension cord.

for the power out cords, I used the 3 ft pre cuts ones from americord. Call them for a bulk quote.

I bought 160 and after shipping they ended up being about 1 dollar each.

I am getting the hang of things now and perhaps addicted to the LE boards.
I'll be ordering 2 more LE for this year. I think it should be enough for me now. (burp!)
Thanks
Dilip

Thanks for the link magic8192! That site has plenty of options to choose from at pretty reasonable prices.

I like your extension cord idea as well.

Check out monoprice.com as well.  I have purchased short 2 ft cords from them for as little as $.64 per cord.  That's cheaper than the $1 extension cords at Walmart or Lowes.

So do we think that we will have the boards and kits at least a week before thanksgiving when everyone begins there shows? I would be interested in 4. I will also be selling my version 3 boards if anyone needs boards immediately... I just assume get the version 4 boards.

Thanks

Brad

Hi Terry,

RJ will post the REAL coop for the Express in the coop forum. This topic was just to let people know there will be one more LE coop this year.

You will have to post that post in about a day or two.

Cheers
